User Awareness Programs at JRD Tata Memorial Library
The JRD Tata Memorial Library is committed to enhancing the experience and knowledge of the IISc community. To achieve this, the library periodically organises user awareness programs to inform and educate users about various available resources, services, and tools.
Upcoming Event: National Library Week, November 18-22, 2024
In observance of National Library Week, we invite the entire campus community to join us in a series of events listed below to create awareness and promote the library’s resources. These events are designed to enhance your academic experience, support your research, and help you discover valuable resources for learning.

Event # 1 - Monday, 18 November: Online Quiz

- Quiz Details: 25 questions on library resources and services
- Availability: The quiz link is active until 11:00 pm, Wednesday, 20 November 2024
- Prizes: 5 winners will receive prizes
Event # 2 - Tuesday, 19 November: Turnitin Tutorial on Academic Integrity

- Venue: Lecture Hall, JRD Tata Memorial Library
- Time: 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
- Quiz: A quiz will be conducted at the end of the session
- Prizes: 5 winners will receive prizes
Event # 3 - Wednesday, 20 November: Open Book Quiz
- Venue: JRD Tata Memorial Library
- Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Participation: Limited to the first 100 users on a first-come, first-served basis
- Instructions: Each participant selects a book from a pre-shortlisted collection. Participants use the book to answer quiz questions, including the referred page number, and return the book to the library by 4:00 pm the next day.
- Prizes: 5 winners will receive prizes
Event # 4 - Thursday, 21 November: Treasure Hunt
- Venue: JRD Tata Memorial Library
- Time: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Participation: Limited to the first 100 users on a first-come, first-served basis
- Instructions: Locate three specific books on library shelves based on the bibliographic details provided.
- Prizes: 5 winners will receive prizes
Event # 5 - Friday, 22 November: Book Talk in associationwithKalpana(Literature Club)

- Details: Participants share insights on a book of their choice, presenting a 5-minute summary, key takeaways, and recommendations.
