Read & Publish Agreements

"Read and Publish" agreements are contracts between libraries and publishers that allow researchers to read articles in subscription journals and publish articles in open-access journals without additional fees.

The IISc has signed "Read and Publish" / "Subscribe to open" (S2O) agreements with the following publishers:

• Cambridge University Press

• Company of Biologists

• EDP Sciences (Astronomy & Astrophysics)

• European Mathematical Society (EMS)

• Microbiology Society

• Rockefeller University Press

• The Royal Society

These agreements provide IISc researchers with a several benefits including:

• Access to a more significant number of open-access journals

• No article processing charges (APCs) or other financial barriers to publication

• Increased visibility for their research

• Comply with funder requirements
